No, the vintage
isn't a typo. The winery held it back because it was big and
tannic. It's still tannic, but not so much you can't enjoy it
now, and it is good wine. Has intensely briary, wild berry flavors,
with the requisite peppery, spicy hit on the palate... There's
a ton of ripe fruit on the finish, indicating ageability, if
you like old Zins. |
